Thanks, Russ!
I kind of suspected that it might have been to early for systematic records.
Thanks again for checking!

I have one possible listing:
William P. Stark First Assistant Argus 1913
I have no other listings for a William, Bill, Bert, or Albert Stark.

I have approximately 30 - 35 crew listings for the Charles S. Price in the 1912 - 1913 time frame. There is no Stark, or anything close, in the listings.

It wasn't until the 1920's that Lake Carriers required their members to submit full crew lists every time one of their boats left port. You would almost have to get "LUCKY" and find a ship's log with your relatives name in it.

My great grandfather (William Bert Stark) sailed on Great Lakes ships for a few years in the early 1900s.

I have a handwritten note signed by one John Radford that my great grandfather sailed with him on the J Emory Owen for the entire 1902 season as an oiler. I have found loads of info on the J Emory Owen in the form of newspaper clippings from her launch in 1888 to when she burned in 1903 and her later refitting as the F A Meyer.

My grandmother said he worked the ships for about seven years in total. She also used to say that he worked on the Charles S Price for a while before she sank in 1913. I have not been able to document that though.

I am looking to see if there is a way to find out what other ships that he may have sailed on.

Thansk for any assistance or direction!
