Those poor guys look shell shocked. Out of the 6 modern wrecks, the Steinbrenner is all but forgotten. I think 16 survived but yet we only hear of Dennis Hale, Frank Mays, and Elmer Flemming. I ran into a Cedarville survivor a few weeks ago up in the straits. Only 4 of them left he told me.

Yes. Norman Bragg survived the Steinbrenner sinking and was later lost on the Morrell.

Jared, You probably this, but for others that might not, didn't one survivor of the Steinbrenner die on another sinking like the Morrell?

Within the last 2 years, one of the rescuers, Capt. Dick Olson 3rd mate on the Joe Thompson at the time passed away. I don't know about the others.
