To all boatnerds that may read and follow this post and anyone else as well for that matter. Today marked an historic milestone in my marine career as a ship and boatwather and boatnerd you could say. On this day and date in history, August 3rd if you will believe it or not I achieved something that "Will Never ever be accomplished again in all the rest of my life and years on the St. Clair River!" An amazing milestone along with accomplishment was set today. My 500th All-Time St. Clair River Trip in more than 29 years of shipwatching was done today! What a way to get the 500th trip as I first started the day off with the newest ship on the Great Lakes the brand new Captain Henry Jackman as it was the very first time I'd ever seen her. Follow that up with her fleetmate the Algoma Niagara right behind her! Later in the day came the American Integrity along with the Sam Laud and Algoma Sault. Top all of that off later in the evening with the Dirk S. VanEnkevort and Michigan Trader downbound in perfect evening light! Oh and BTW, forgot to mention I got four vessels to give me salutes as well two of which did with my 500th River Trip sign I had made up for the event. So, two thumbs up and also 4 Stars and also a Tip of the Hat as well and salute to me I'd say for getting 500 River Trips in my lifetime and career! It's something I'll always remember and also will Never ever forget! Thanks everyone for your support all these years.
