I sailed with Bob. I believe, in '72 as a 12-4 deckwatch on the August Ziesing. Good skipper and ship handler. I can't count the number of toasted peanut butter sandwiches I made him when he was in the pilothouse! He was a no- nonsense SteelTrust guy for sure and has a history of Lake's Mariners in the family too.
