Re: Best Hotel in Duluth for Boat Watching?
I always stay in the comfert suits. Great views, a short walk to the canal and great breakfast.

I've stayed a few times at the Comfort Inn and found it very friendly and convient. Mike

Re: Best Hotel in Duluth for Boat Watching?
Someone that lives in Duluth should know, but I don't think they blast the horns on the bridge in the middle of the night. I think they just stick with the radios. The bells on the gates that close the road off when they are going to open the bridge should be enough to wake you up though!
Re: Best Hotel in Duluth for Boat Watching?
I figured the boat horns and the aerial lift bridge horn would be enough of a wake-up call.

I've heard the South Pier Inn offers a wake-up call so you can see boats arriving at night if you don't want to miss a thing!

Wife and I stayed at the Inn on Lake Superior on our honeymoon. Was nice and close to everything in Canal Park and you couldn't beat the view from our suite. Could see everything coming into the ship canal and everything moving out of the inner harbor.

Best Hotel in Duluth for Boat Watching?
Hello~
I'm planning a short trip next weekend and am wondering which hotel offers the best view of the canal and the harbor. Looks like the Comfort Suites or the South Pier Inn would have good views. Thoughts?
Thanks much
