Here is a scan of the Texas deck and the quarters in question on the Canadian Hunter.
Re: Can Mariner and Hunter
The day room is a combined dayroom office,as was the normal practice of the day.The Collingwood and Davies ships of the same era are compatible. Below the Texas deck(Captains Quarter) is the Forecastle Deck which houses 3 Deck Officers cabins,a pantry, linen locker 2 Owners staterooms and an owners lounge. This Information is from The General Arrangement plan by St.Johns Ship building Co. and the Foreward Accommodation plan from the same builders. You may be able to obtain copies of these by going to the model forum and looking for the plan posting.

Thanks Kamco, was there an office too? I don't know if you have the general arrangement plans for the Davie or Collingwood ships but I wonder how they compare in size, and what was on the deck below the pilothouse on the Hunter and Mariner guest quarters or deck officer rooms Thanks
Re: Can Mariner and Hunter
In looking at a general arrangement plan I have. The Captains suite is aft of the wheelhouse and consists of a Bedroom, washroom and day room. All measuring approx 13 feet by 26 feet.

What are the demensions of that capt cabin behind the pilot house? I assume there is an office in there. Also- there must be direct access to the PH. 4 steps ?

Just wondering on these two ships how the accommodations were configured. was the Captains cabin, the small cabin directly behind the pilot house or was it on the next deck down. Just very interesting ships.
