has Lower Lakes confirmed it will be renamed during the refit?
Re: Unloading Rig for Mary Turner?
Boom is off the Frantz it has been refurbished and painted. Will be picked up near IMS.
Re: Unloading Rig for Mary Turner?
I find this unit to be interesting. Puting that boom on there makes sense, but that barge has such a deep hull! Where do they intend to use it to get the most out of of it's full capacity? Did anyone confirm if that boom came off the Frantz?

Re: Unloading Rig for Mary Turner?
I overheard on my scanner that the tug and barge are going to Bay Shipyard at Sturgeon Bay Wi for a refit.
Thats what the captain told Seaway control.

Unloading Rig for Mary Turner?
The unloading rig apparently for the barge Mary Turner has been moved to the edge of wharf 17 the old furnace dock in Port Colborne, refitted and painted. I assume it is from Jos. Frantz but appears to have been rebuilt as well as painted. Not sure if it will be installed here or moved, it is on a multiwheeled flat bed.
