Al Swiegert's negative collection is housed at the Great Lakes Historical Society in Vermilion Ohio.

Sorry to hear that. I always like how he was able to capture the ships at Cleveland. Growing up, his pictures helped secure my lifelong interest in Great Lakes shipping.

For many years I always enjoyed the pictures published in the Inland Seas journal taken by Al Sweigert. Most of the ones I remember the most were published during the 1980s. I have never heard much of this photographer. Does anyone have any information?
