Seaway Long Point has the East end of Lake Erie & then Seaway Welland takes them down the canal. Seaway Newcastle picks up the West End of Lake Ontario.

None on Lake Michigan. Sarnia uses remote transmitters throughout the system. They control such a large area it couldn't be covered by 1 location. Also interesting to note is the Soo Traffic can close down the river if weather conditions warrant but Sarnia cannot.

Thanks Denny. We often hear radio Sarnia while fishing in western Lake Erie. They must have 'some power' on their radio to transmit that far.

For the St. Marys River, the USCG or Soo Traffic as it is called runs the St. Marys River and they have a VTS system where all ship traffic must call in at designated areas. For the St. Clair River and the Detroit Rivers, Sarnia Traffic handles all of the traffic in those respective rivers and again vessels must call in at certain reporting stations. Sarnia Traffic also handles Lake Huron as far north as the Detour area. From Detour, it is then run by the USCG. At the Welland Canal, the VTS is run by Seaway Welland and the ships call in at certain points in the Canal.
