Sounds like a fog signal.

Tuesday night in St Clair

by Paqueo » May 28, 2014, 5:33 am

Hello Bookworm:

Last night (5/27) around 11:00, there was a lot of freighter noise (horn) on the river here in St Clair.

Single blasts, at least 8 or 10, over the course of about 25 minutes.

We occasionally hear them after dark, but never that many. Or that loud. Any idea if something was going on?

Thanks in advance.

Memorial Day traffic

People (and their dogs) were enjoying themselves in the sun and water, from one end of the river to the other. Several passing freighters added to their fun by blowing a salute.
With so many classic freighters transiting today, I've focused on the unique pilot house of each one.
