The Lockview Motel is directly across from the Locks Visitors center, the Longships Motel is a couple blocks west on Portage right across the street from the upper gates of the Mac Lock. Both are older motels, Lockview has WiFi only in the lobby while the Longships doesn't have it at all AFAIK. Some people have written well of the Holiday Inn at I-75 & Easterday-has all the amenities plus a view of the St Mary's above the locks.
Lockview has WI-FI in rooms just stayed there
The Lockview does have Wi-Fi in the rooms now. As a matter of fact, they were installing it the last time I was there about 3 weeks ago. We have stayed there 3 times, plan on going back in September most likely. Very clean, nice rooms, but older motel. Price is right as well. Never stayed in the Ramada, doubt I would like it, I like to park in front of my room. Old fashioned, I know.
