Its been done quite a few times. The Manitou and Gaelic tugs have helped them come down under the bridge multiple times.

tug "Pride" assisting the "Anglian Lady" and her barge from 7&8 to just past the black river, difficult barge to handle in all the current and turns

Are you in the Port Huron area? I see Anglian Lady is there. Her last trip down, Manitou led the way as she pushed her barge and then pulled away a bit past the Black River. I think Bookworm posted a photo of it.

On web cam, I Just saw a tug pulling a barge that was being pushed down bound by another barge. Interesting sight...not identified on vessel passage page. Anyone help ID?
