Being a Michigan fan my entire life, following U of M sports since the mid-60's, it's hard for me to say anything good about the Buckeyes. Don't sell the Buckeyes short in the Big Ten Championship game. When they lost Braxton Miller everyone said they didn't have a chance to win, but in comes J.T. Barrett, an untested player, and look what he did until he got injured. He was head and shoulders above anything M could put on the field as far as a QB goes. The Buckeyes might not win against the Badgers, but I expect their 3rd string QB to be very able in doing his job.
I don't know if he'd take the U of M job, but a coach I liked when he was in the Big 10 was Bret Bielema. I know he's only been at Arkansas a couple years, but I think if he was interested, he would be a good choice.

i'd caution u of m to take their time in selecting a new a. d. and football coach. the football season will see a lot of coaches looking for a job next year ! this 'michigan man ' stuff is a bunch of junk. they should select the very best man for the job - period. in many ways the a. d. 's job is way more important than football coach. the a. d. represents the school in all sports events. all coaches report to the a. d. u of m spends way too much money on sports to get these two position wrong once again.

I like Harbaugh, but I'd be afraid if he took the job that any time there was an NFL opening, Harbaugh would be the first coach they'd want to talk with.
Have to think about this one, I know Harbaugh won't take it, but I don't know who a good choice would be at this time. All I know is the U of M HAS to get it right this time.

Harbaugh may scare off some potential recruits in an already declining number of recruits to U-M. Find a die hard "Michigan man" or someone that's up and coming in coaching. Until the program as a whole improves they are a outside looking in team at best.

Well, Ann Arbor is looking for a new coach ( hardly a news flash ) as Hoke was fired this afternoon. I'd caution U of M to look over the field Very carefully before making a selection ! The guy in San Fran will be available for sure - because he can't get along with his players or anyone else.

I enjoyed the Iron Bowl the most this past weekend. Any time that 2 college teams can score almost 100 points has to be an enjoyable game to watch.

Ohio State will have big shoes to fill at QB next week - let's see how fast Meyer can make a new QB.

Just seen and heard breaking news that it finally happened today. Yes, U-M has made it official and Brady Hoke is out as coach of the Wolverines! Now, it is on to find the next coach to hopefully turn this proud football program around and get it back to where it once was and on its feet again. Just who is the right man for the job and who would want it? If you are thinking that it may be that of Jimmy Harbaugh, you may want to think twice! Exactly like I put and said in my previous post Guest II and indeed that was "The Game to watch this past weekend and I don't care what anybody else says or thinks!" That was the Super Bowl and the game of the year IMO! Now, if only the real Super Bowl in February will be just as good and not "boring" like last year's game was!

The real game to watch was the Green Bay Packers as they beat the Patriots. That was a good game.

I watched all three on Thanksgiving Day and other than the Lions, the other two were boring IMO. However, I was happy as a lark to see the Eagles beat the Boys on Turkey Day! I would say the best game to watch (I am Not a College Man) without question was the Pats vs Packers on Sunday! If that was a preview of what the Super Bowl could be like in February, then folks we are in for darn good one. Gosh, let's hope so as after last years Super Bowl we deserve a break! The way Seattle flattened and ran all over the Broncos and Peyton that game was boring last year. Another good NFL game I watched Sunday was the Chargers vs the Ravens as that was another good close game to watch. The NFL Playoff run is shaping up to be a real beauty in the next month. Should be fun and interesting to see who gets in and who stays home. Go Bills!

The only game I watched was the Lions it was a good game. The rest of the weekend I changed it up a little and watched the Ken Burns Baseball documentary.

What a Great weekend for football. U of M put up a good fight against Ohio State for 3 quarters but, the Buckeyes finally awoke in the 4 th quarter to end any hope of victory for U of M.

MSU put Penn State away in their final game of of the scheduled season. It will be interesting to see which bowl game MSU will be playing in this holiday season.

By far the best game this Saturday ( 11-29-'14 ) was Bama vs Auburn. Records for runs, passes returns fell like rain drops in a bad storm. Almost 100 points were scored by both teams which kept all of us from going to the frig for another 'cold one' during the game. The Iron Bowl will go down in history as one of the greatest football games played in 2014 !

Today we have Green Bay vs the Pats. Another Great game will be on tap. This game should be an outstanding game to watch. Two great passing quarterbacks will go head to head.

I'd like to know which games everyone enjoyed the most this weekend ?

I think that many will agree with you Tim and do the same thing as I know I will as well. At least this year besides the Turkey and the stuffing, we are also blessed with some good Football games to watch on Turkey Day. Thank You to the NFL for bringing us some good football on Turkey night. Eagles at Cowboys and then later for the night capper the Seahawks at 49ers. Now there is some good football to watch folks. Can't wait to watch them!

I second that Ed and a very Happy and Safe Thanksgiving Day to you too along with all of our boatnerd friends and volunteers out there as well this Thanksgiving Holiday. Would also like to send along my heartfelt thanks as well to all of the workers and the volunteers of this site that keep it going year in and year out. Without their help and volunteering to run and maintain this site, people like us boatnerds that follow and track the boats would have absolutely nothing for our hobby. Thank You all boatnerds. And a heartfelt 3L 2S and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone also!
