I was looking up historic cookbooks on archive.org, and came across this treasure. It was written by Charles J. Brooks, Steward and Caterer, of Port Huron, Michigan, who was also a member of [b]Stewards and Cook's Union, Local 299, Port Huron, Mich.[/b]. It was self-published by him in Port Huron, and looks like is gives a fascinating picture of what was being served to the crews of the better Lake Boats in the early 1900s. Might be worth someone checking with the Port Huron Museum of they know about this and have a copy. Looks like the Print-on-Demand publishers have found this one.
