The tug R.J.Ballott (ex Jerry Newberry, Kay Cole, Point Victor, Foundation Victor) and barge NT 1805 transported the scrap from the wreck site to Sydney harbour where it has been unloaded.

news report on CBC says the Miner scrap has been loaded on a barge. Guess MacIsaac's barge/tug so I wonder where it will be transferred to Catherine III if indeed that is the plan. Guess she can then take it anywhere.

My guess is she will take it overseas and likely under a FOC. cannot see Desgagnes agreeing to her remaining Canadian.

MacIsaac Construction, of Antigonish, N.S., is the firm that removed the remains of Canadian Miner from the shore of Scatarie Island. Perhaps Catherine III will be used to transport away the cut-up steel.
