I agree with your comments both kcboatnerd and also to you as well Shirley and amen to both of your comments! Every year I also dig out my CDs and play "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" and I must admit and say that it brings tears to me everytime I play and hear that song and my heart is in my throat when I play and hear it and think of what those brave and poor 29 crewmen went through and endured. I also have "Lighthouse Figurines that I turn on every year on the Anniversary and this year, I also rang a ship's bell once for the Fitz and her crew and another for all of the sailors that have lost their lives on the Great Lakes!" Also try to watch some of the Fitzgerald DVDs I have as well. They will never be forgotten and may God Bless them and their families as well.

A terrible tragedy that none of us will ever forget.
May God comfort their families on this sad anniversary.

On November 10th every year I dig out and listen to my old 45 of The Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald. I was working in Toledo at the time and my office window faced the Columbia docks. I will always remember seeing the empty slip across the river and knowing I would never see the Fitz again.
3 long and 2 short to the ship and crew that never came home.
