thats one heck of a shake down. last seen headed for Stoneport. been there years ago on the mighty Ben W Calvin. good grub and all the ot you could handle. thanksgiving 1969 William Rajaniemi. :)

I'm guessing she was doing a shakedown sea trial after an extended layup and probably cleaning out holds, ballast tanks ect. The Ashtabula/Defiance did a similar thing when she left Cleveland prior to heading up to Wisconsin for some maintenance work.

i have the M/V John J Boland in my ais fleets and have been tracking the ship. does anyone know what is happening with that ship. floating from Huron to Marquette to Cleveland and Sandusky roaming around like a drunken sailor. full speed, check speed, slow and 360s all in open water. something is not right. anyone know?
