I do not know if it is true, but I had heard that the Montrealais, Quebecois, and Canadian Miner hulls were patterned off of the Ryerson's style. Although the Ryerson's bow has a rounded stem I can see some similarities.

As far as I know there are no sisterships of the Ryerson and no
I don't believe that there were anything planned at the time of
her construction as far as other sisterships. In fact, I believe that
the Ryerson may be the last vessel built in Manitowoc in 1960 at
that shipyard if I am not mistaken. Hope that this helps.
