It seems that most boats with rear pilot houses/accomodations and no major forward superstructure have some kind of single, centerline mast up front.
However, a few boats have something that sort of resembles a football (American) goalpost at the bow, i.e. English River, Stephen B. Roman and the Windoc come to mind. Does anyone know the reasoning behind the different designs?
