salties can be identified via the vessel passage page (salties on the great lakes) and Duluth area traffic can also be identified by calling the boatwatchers hotline. The phone number is also on the vessel passage page.

Yes, that would be the Isolda in the anchorage. She was in loading yesterday but it looks like she had to allow the J W Shelley load. I think Lakers have priority over salties even when the salty is already loading. Not sure how true that is but this could be proof.

You are correct in that it is indeed the Isolda of Polsteam Lines
anchored off of Duluth I assume waiting for a loading berth or
cargo at the CHS 1 Grain Elevator in Superior, WI. If you go to
the Duluth Shipping News' website and look up the schedule part,
you should be able to find out more information and possibly when
she is due to depart.

So all day today i have been wondering the name of that salty out there. I am gonna take a stab dark and guess its the Isolda waiting to load/unload in duluth. so i just thought i would share it. -Chaz
