I was in central/mid Michigan on the 23rd and the colors in that area were near 80-90% at that time. Closer to the "tip of the mitt", they were in the 25-40% range.

I am looking at heading to Duluth for a few days around Mid October to check out boats, lights and possibly the DMIR (ok CN).
I know right now that the colors there are probably at peak. Just curious if there is any color left still in mid Oct or are the leaves dropping off the trees by then. If not then maybe I will take a trip to Door Cty or possibly lower Mich.
I will be in the Soo this weekend till Tues. Figure the colors there should be good. Hoping I can find where the Sherwin is at and the Harriman down at Detour.
