With three catastrophic ship fires (Bob-lo Ste. Clair, M/V St. Clair, and M/V Roger Blough) in recent years, today's Great Lakes History mentions another three. Sometimes it seems (at least for ships and the related loss of jobs, income, and profits) lay-up may pose more potential destruction to a ship than the most severe Great Lakes storm!
