does Waugoshance Point count as a "jetty"
Looks like it could be 4 or 5 miles long.

Not exactly Michigan, but there is lots of kite boarding and skiing in the wingers in the Duluth/Superior area off of Park Point. Check out Youtube for footage

One of the best kept secrets in America are the “white sand” beaches located at our Great Lakes ports. I’m thinking that few people would think that Great Lakes ports & recreation beaches could exist together. I’ll give you one well known location. It’s Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH. My home port of Toledo has many “white sand” beaches next to the shipping channel. Each is a treasure and little known.

The docks at USS plant in Gary are a mile in length and they unload on both sides.

I'm not certain of your definition of jetties.

If breakwalls are included, Chicago has to be the largest builder of wave obstructors on Lake Michigan.

Hello, Myself and some friends that kiteboard and surf regularly on the lake whee discussing this question. Sheboygan's and St Joe's are up there. Any others worth mentioning come to mind and finally which one is the longest?
