Thanks for that Rod and I did not know it was a split load they were taking on then. Great to see you posting here as I have not seen you posting much in a while. Hope to see you someday on the St. Clair River. Be and stay well friend.

Appears to be a split load with Thunder Bay

The Algoma Strongfield departed Sarnia after they loaded at the Grain Elevator in Sarnia and they are now headed to Baie Comeau, Quebec to unload. So, when they were downbound at the Soo a few days ago, they came down and were empty then for Sarnia. My point is, that would have been neat to see them come down empty like that as they are always loaded when they’re down at the Soo!

As of 7:30 pm on September 8, in viewing and looking at the boatnerd AIS map it shows the Algoma Strongfield in what appears to be docked at the Cargill Grain Elevator in Sarnia? Assuming that I am correct, then it appears that the Algoma Strongfield must have had a change in orders and they did not load any cargoes in any Upper Lakes port in Lake Superior. As I mentioned earlier, I thought I saw them listed for Thunder Bay however due to a backlog of ships mainly salties waiting to load there, they probably got orders instead to head for Sarnia and load from there. If anyone has information they can share it would be very much and greatly appreciated and thanks.

I’ve noticed on the Algoma Strongfield that they have an ETA for Sarnia on September 8 in the evening sometime I think it is? Are they going there to load as at one point thought I saw them with a Thunder Bay destination yet now it’s showing Sarnia. I am wondering if they could have gotten a change in orders as there has been a big backlog of ships mostly salties at anchor up in Thunder Bay waiting to load cargoes there. I missed the Algoma Strongfield at the Soo yesterday coming down so I don’t know if they came down loaded or if they were empty? Anyone that has any information they can provide on this then is very much and greatly appreciated and thanks in advance also.
