Yes, new to Algoma vessel. Algoma announced back in January 2024 that it was purchasing two 2009-built product tankers from Norway’s Knutson OAS Shipping. They were the Eli Knutson and Liv Knutson. Both were chartered back to their former owner for the first part of 2024 and I assume they kept their names. Since then, the Eli Knutson was renamed Algosolis and registered in Canada in late July 2024. It first came to the Lakes in August.
The Liv Knutson became the Fure Spear flagged in the Faroe Islands. It is operating in Europe under a joint venture between Algoma and Furetank. Furetank does the vessel management.
