The Cort unloads with its shuttle boom into the hopper at BH so I'm guessing it shouldn't be a problem for the Speer. GLF has been delivering to a variety of different ports this year with Presque Isle running into IH along with the Anderson and Munson and GLF delivering pellets to Toledo Torco and Cleveland Bulk Terminal.

I believe the Stewart J Cort has a shuttle boom.

Denny, I too was wondering the same thing when I saw her on ais this morning. If she is indeed heading for burns harbor I believe that would be a first time for them. Stranger things have happened this year with Great Lakes fleet hauling ore to Indiana harbor and Toledo and also hauling sand to buffalo,ny. Take care my friend and be well.

The Edgar B. Speer departed from Superior BNSF Ore Dock #5 early this morning on October 4. Their AIS is however showing a very rare destination for them! Right now their AIS on the Speer is showing Burns Harbor to be their next destination ETA on October 6 at 6 PM or 1800 hours give or take. Will this then be a first for the Speer unloading then in Burns Harbor? With their shuttle boom unloader they can only unload in places such as Gary or Conneaut which are set up to handle the Speer’s shuttle unloading boom. Never have I recalled the Speer unloading in Burns Harbor before. I’m wondering if this is true or perhaps a mistake or error on their AIS then? Any info is appreciated here and thanks.
