The Thunder Bay is finally on the move going to meldrum bay. Don’t know what the issue was with her being at anchor for about a week. If they were doing repairs you would’ve thought that they would have gone to a dock.

In response to Mn Bob’s question. Yes indeed they are owned by Canada Steamship Lines. Hope that this helps.

Ok I got that Guest and thank you for that clarification on the Thunder Bay and the CSL fleet and their ships as well. Would still like to know like Mn Bob’s question, “Why then was the Thunder Bay at anchor in Lake Erie for a few days then?” I think on the AIS maps, the Thunder Bay is still at or near Windsor presently? Are they at anchor and perhaps waiting to load in Windsor or are they already in Windsor then loading or unloading something then? Any info on this is very much and greatly appreciated and thanks.

The name of the ship is Thunder Bay. Not CSL Thunder Bay. Only select ships in the CSL fleet have CSL in the actual name, not all of them.

I’ve wondered the same thing Bob and I even tried to post the same question here on this board but for some reason it was not posted? They unloaded in Windsor that much I do know and I don’t recall what cargo they took then into Windsor and unloaded stone maybe perhaps? The Hamilton port website in Canada has had them projected and also estimated to arrive there for several days to load a cargo of Coke from the Stelco Dock in Nanticoke. That’s all that I have on them and can say for now. Hope this helps out.

What’s going on with the csl Thunder Bay? It was anchored in western Lake Erie for 2 or 3 days and now it’s been anchored in the Detroit river for a few days. Not sure where they last loaded or unloaded, but seems strange to be anchored for so long with no destination.
