I mispoke - In saying that the McCarthy was missing from the list, Iwas referring to the layup list for Duluth Superior found in the Daily Port Report. Seven ships are listed, but the McCarthy is not included. My apologies for the misstatement on my original post. I was not referring to the official Boat Nerd 24-25 layup list.

Yes it is at the Lakehead pipeline dock in superior

Just checked out the Lay Up list for 2024-25 and it lists the Walter J. McCarthy Jr. as laying up on January 11th in Superior at the Lakehead Pipeline Dock. As far as I know, they have been on the layup list since they arrived then in Superior on January 11. I don’t recall not seeing them on the layup list. The American Steamship Company is listed at the beginning of the layup list near the top and it is showing all of their 1,000 footers in layup which includes the Walter J. McCarthy Jr. Hope this information helps.

I notice that the Walter J. McCarthy Jr. is not listed in the 24-25 Layup list for Duluth Superior.
It is located at Lakehead Pipeline in Superior.
