As of 6 p.m. Tues, PI is above Port Huron headed for Superior

Ok, thanks Guest for give my us all an update and information on when the tug portion was drydocked. So, it would seem that neither the tug or the barge are due for any 5-year drydockings for a while then at least.

The tug Presque Isle was in drydock at Port Weller in July-August 2023.

When I first saw them in Erie, my original thought was “Maybe they were dropping the barge off in Erie then the tug portion only would be headed to PWDD in Port Weller for its dry docking!” I don’t know how many years it’s been since the tug was last dry docked at PWDD? The barge portion I’d say was re-painted in the late 2010s or else early 2020s.

Repairs

The prequel isle has been in Erie,pa for a week now, is it short term layup or are they having repairs done?
