Great laker says llt sold mostly to algoma. Who else did they sell to? It was algoma who sold the manitoulin to mckeil after they bought out mckeil.

Does mainstay own the hulk up the calumet river? CTC no.1 it will have to be scraped where it is, I doubt if it would survive being towed

I wonder if they will consolidate under one stack or flag. Having three different sub companies just increases overhead.

Their website is at https://www.mainstaymaritime.com/ Includes a fleet list and a timeline of the company.

To add more to what Great Laker has said, after Algoma acquired the Lower Lakes Fleet and their remaining vessels they later sold the Manitoulin to McKeil Marine in February. As of today, April 7th the Kaministiqua and the Manitoulin have each now gotten new stack logos and stack colors. The Kam now has Algoma stack logos and colors, while the Manitoulin has gotten the McKeil stack logos and colors also. Thus far, that’s been the only changes so far to the former Lower Lakes vessels!

In early January, Rand Logistics rebranded as Mainstay. It was covered on the Boatnerd News page and in this forum. They have since sold off the Canadian part of the company, mostly to Algoma.

Cant say as I heard of mainstay before, is it another name for rand? Please enlighten the people of boatnerd. Such as their stack colour etc. if you don't ask how are you going to know? Not everyone is a rocket scientist!
