Speaking of two cents, that may be an issue. When I sailed, 40 years ago, the captains had price list for Imperial, Shell, and Sterling (no Mitersky but you could bunker in lower Lake Michigan and Duluth/Superior from bunkering vessels, e.g., Reiss Marine). Absent other issues (location, need for fuel, timing, next trip ports, ice, etc.) they chose the cheapest vendor, and it was sometimes a matter of cents.
