Get a hold of Capt. Wayne Bratton of the Holiday. He should be able to help you out.

There are not many tour boats along the NE Ohio shore which would meet your requirements and are similiar to the Diamond tour
boat, but about the closest (in both looks and location) would
be the local tour boat used at the Sawmill Creek Resort in Huron,
Ohio. Below is a web-link which you can see both a photo and a
short history (on another link) on this specific boat. I think it might
be the best fit for your film project, and Huron is 40 highway miles
from Cleveland, maybe a bit closer via Lake Erie. Mark D

Suggestions for tour boats for film being shot in Ohio

I am a director making an independent film in the Cleveland area, a scene of which takes place on a boat that would normally take tourists to Ellis Island, on the Hudson. While we will shoot pick up shots of the Statue of Liberty, in the harbor, the rest of this film is being shot entirely in Ohio, so we wanted to shoot the boat scene on Lake Erie and match the footage.

Does anyone know of tour-like ships that are specific to Lake Erie, that might allow us to film aboard? Ideal would be a match closest to Cleveland (for example Port Clinton, Toledo, Sandusky, Huron, Lorain, etc.); while we have done a lot of research on-line, we unfortunately have not been able to find the exact kind of boat we're looking for.

The picture attached is similar to the kind of boat we're looking for. The older the better.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post and again if you know of anyone who might be able to make suggestions, that would be very helpful. I can be contacted at mika@arcanumproductions.com
