I think she is sitting at the east end of the Morterm Slip in Windsor. Saw a rail ferry barge up there a couple Saturdays ago and took a quick picture.

Pere Marquette 10 scrapped in LaSalle ON?

by Guest » August 16, 2010, 7:58 pm

I am missing the Pere Marquette 10 railcar ferry from her long-term & final lay-up in Toledo. I live on the other side of Maumee Bay. While other shipping made a brief visit to Toledo, the PM 10 was always in port.

PM 10, as a barge in Toledo looked mostly new, if it was only the paint, until her 2009 scrap tow to LaSalle.

There should have been some kind of barge work in Toledo for this old girl with the new Veterans' Bridge and the MLK bridge rebuild. PM 10 wasn't used. Other barges were brought to Toledo for the bridge work for..."a million or 2".

Is the Pere Marquette 10 cut-up or still around in LaSalle?

Are any of the other Pere Marquette rail ferries, besides PM 41, still afloat?
