Port Maitland was what the pilot on board the Tony Mackay told the Seaway at C I P 2, also Tony Mackay's Destination says the same, The Vigilant 1 says Port Colborne, thats where she will break off, if she goes that far.
I spoke to a crewman on the Tony Mackay via phone this morning. They are bound for IMS in Port Colborne. Port Maitland no longer scraps ships.
Why did the Pilot say Port Maitland Ontario on Lake Erie I heard it myself on the VHF, The Tony Mackay info says Port Maitland, Ontario, why did the crew not inform the pilot of its final dest was not Port Maitland but Port Colborne? Halifax also reported the same final destination, you would have thought they would have known befor the tow left Halifax that Port Maitland did not scrap ships any longer, its a wait and see game now. Or is it a mystery.
