The tug that left with the Agawa Canyon carries 721 tons of fuel 75 tons of water and 30 tons of lube oil, this tug has two engines 4220 bhp ea. when Sirocco left she was just using one engine which was enough to pull the Agawa Canyon, Sirocco should have enough fuel to cross the Atlantic as far as Gibralter where if needed will reful there as most ships do.
Why so much lube oil?
I would have to say the engines burn a good amount and also not many places you can get lube oil on the Atlantic better to have more than not enough, I know 39 tons seems alot of oil, I will check and let you know the real story.
