Federal Saguenay last sailed from Sorel late December 1994 for Calais , France with a load of Slag. She then sailed to Setubal, Portugal arriving Jan. 6 1995 to be delivered to her new owners. After drydocking the vessel was renamed Federal Calliope for Her new Greek Owners sailing from Portugal to Genoa, Italy. She made her first Canadian arrival under her new name on March 8, 1995 at Montreal. She made her first transit of the Seaway in April 1995 with steel products for the USA.
She was renamed in 1999 after the Fednav charter ended and showed-up in Montreal and the lakes in May and Dec. 1999 and again in 2000 under the name of Calliope. I think she has never been again on the Great Lakes since renamed Alexander K.

Sistership Federal ST.Laurent became Federal Dora in 1995 and Dora in 1999. She was sold for demolition in Bangladesh in 2003

Both vessels were sold by Fednav "en bloc" for a reported 14,5 million (US) in 1995.
