News page is where it says "News Channel" to your left on this page. Guess you probably already found it by now anyway.

Looks like James R Barker is hugging the coast of Michigan. She hasn't made it by Marquette yet. The schedule in Duluth says she's due Thursday now. She was suppose to get there today.

Those would have been the Joseph H. Thompson/JR, Presque Isle and Brant. Brant was not waiting weather; it was waiting for the Zeus to depart Goderich before heading there to load grain.

All the ships are listed with their locations on the news page.

I can count 8 ships in lower Lake Huron from the beach in Sarnia, no idea who they are.

The James R. Barker went out of Lake Superior, they are staying very close to the Michigan coast. Waves on Superior are around 15-24 feet.

The Olive L. Moore is on Lake Huron. Waves on Lake Huron are around 5-15 feet.

Any of the captains trying to ride this storm out in the open lake? I would think everyone would shelter up for this one.

James Barker

James Barker went upbound around Whitefish Point headed into Lake Superior. American Integrity looks like it may be going to anchor near Grand Island at Munising.

Chris, I was just on the NOAA site a bit ago and the pressure at Hibbing was reading 28.28. At my sisters down here in Suburban Chicago at 5am it was reading 29.0, and we are on the edge of this system. Was also interesting on the NOAA site watching the levels of the lakes change from one end to the other over the past 12hrs. It looked like Detour gained about a foot and a half.
I was getting "seasick" running my commuter train in this morning in a crosswind.
The Gott looks to be down on the south end here as posted earlier, with the Manitowoc in Cal Harbor and the Ostrander/Integrity staying put on the Calumet River.

Word from "up north" is that the Jackson is anchored in Portage Lake, Mich right off of Michigan Tech in Houghton.

Gott is anchored in southern Lake Michigan about 3 miles north of Gary.

Does anyone Know where Edwin H. Gott is anchored? It was suppose to arrive in Gary at 10:30am. No word

Still fairly calm here in central lower Michigan - but sounds nasty to the south in Chicago and Indy!

Barometric pressure at 10am eastern time in Duluth is now about 28.5. Not 29.5, but 28.5. I guess the deepest low is about 28.3 - that's very intense.
