I hear you loud and clear. Putting those up at layup mut have been a cold and thankless job. Winter was the time I was glad to be a member of the Black Gang.

Not an answer but a comment: That's a break for the deckhands. Hauling the shutters out on the Greene, from the lowest possible point forward, up to the observation room windows, was a bear. And a stiff breeze while underway was no help. Great days!

In some photos on the news channel lately. I have noticed that several laid up boats do not have covers on the pilot house windows (American Valor in photo of Cuyahoga today, for example).

Any suggestions as to why?
