The vessel left Nemrut, bound for Russia. Glad to hear the ship was in fact not going for scrap. Hopefully this vessel will be on the Great Lakes in the near future. Thank you hausen and oldseadog for the updates.

This appears to be the case - Utviken was anchored off of the shipping terminals to the south of the peninsula that separates the scrapyards of Aliaga from the other facilities in that area. That must be Nemrut Bay - which appears to be a rather busy shipping port for a variety of cargoes.

Utviken was not seen in Aliaga, the responder told me she may be at Nemrut Bay below Aliaga. I did not see the Canadian Prospector on the beach alongside the Agawa Canyon, the Algoisle is there now. I am waiting for a reply from Aliaga on the whereabouts of the Canadian Prospector.

Utviken was anchored 10 n miles south of Aliaga, she was there for 3 days more or less, she must be using her own power as most tows don't show the vessel being towed, they show the tug, right now she doesn't show at the ahchorage, and nor in Aliaga, it does not mean she is not in Aliaga. I am trying to do a replay and I have asked someone in Izmir Turkey about Utviken and the Algoisle, he was supposed to send me photos from Aliaga.

Possible but not a surety - most oceangoing freighters her size are being scrapped at India, Pakistan, and China these days. It appears that her owners have taken good care of her and her sister (Inviken) and it's likely that they each have a few more years left in them.

The Utviken is currently bound for Aliaga, Turkey. Has the ship been sold for scrap?
