I use a Fuji HS10 / HS11 most of the time for it's extreme long lens and versatility.
In extreme weather I fall back on my Sony DSHC7
The Fuji is nice but has a few quirks, I had to make a stepover plate so that I could leave my tripod shoe on at all times and still open the battery door.
Also due to it's wide angle capability you need ultraslim filters so it can see past the ring in wide angle shots. If you use a lens hood as I do you will also need to go to a flower petal style hood, or the same condition will be true in wide angle.
