I could see that being Wirt or one of the docks north of Gray iron seeing the orientation of the grain elevator if the ship is heading down river. Looking at that chart I can't believe how shallow the channel was back then 20' from ~about the Indy bridge forward,16' upriver from 6th street?! I never knew there was a second channel out into the bay. Also North American Chemical, south of McGraw and 41st street isn't on the map (may be closed by then). Also Consumers way up river? A lot of missing stone docks.
