St. Crapo, to answer your questions, I went to the Vantage Point Scheudle. Olive Moore was waiting on river traffic (and the Risley) so she could head down-river to Toledo. Presque Isle had Detroit as her destination while Victory and Cuyahoga were showing Sault Ste. Marie as theirs.

BubbaS: No snow shoes, just determination! Instead of "dashing through the snow," I was either "plodding" or "tromping," which made me feel like a kid again!
Interestingly, while we deal with the "Arctic Vortex," Australians are not faring well with the other weather extreme. I had no idea, but this link tells the story: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/no-deep ... -heat-wave

Great shots Bookworm! Must have used snow shoes... that had to be a job and a half.

If this global warming keeps up, the St. Clair River will be drivable over to Courtright... like my parents use to do.

Great Job! Very much appreciated.

Very great pictures Bookworm. I loved ths picture of the ducks playing in the little bit of open water that they had. I also really enjoyed seeing all the ice built up on the bow of the Presque Isle. Was the James L. Kuber and the Cuyahoga heading to Sarnia for lay up or did they continue threw the system? Also any idea why the Lewis J. Kuber was stopped at the power plant? Keep up the great work and stay warm.

Ships are moving on the St. Clair River today, but finding an accessible place to photograph them was challenging. Samuel Risley chugged past, but Neah Bay was operating south of my vantage point.
