Interesting name PinkFloyd. I think that with a veiw like that you should keep a cam set up. Great pictures! Thanks. Looks like a beautiful place to live too.

The tugs have flipped her all the way around, she is pointed west now, currently headed downriver under her own power.

She's just been freed, right now as I am typing the are getting her turned around and pointed back upriver.

Good job Great Lakes Towing!

Looks like they have gotten her turned somewhat, she's about perpendicular with the shore...still working on her, both tugs still at it and they are swinging the boom around again.

Standuffer, I've been shooting the pics from my balcony all day, I apologize for the quality but I don't have a particularly high-end digital camera, and some of them were using the digital zoom.

It's dark now, but they are still working on her...I can see both tugs still out there, plus the book is now out off the starboard side.

With the churning and the boom out I'd have to guess that she is aground. Where did these pics originate?

It's not a cam, well not a webcam anyhow...that's the view out of my condo ;)

More pics to come, Great Lakes Towing has two tugs out there trying to free her

I'm thinking about setting up a webcam and getting an ais receiver...whatcha think?

Great pictures. I wondered why they were just sitting there earlier. Would love to know how to access that cam too.

Great vantage point, please send the pics into news@boatnerd.net

There's low water in the river and they were in the anchorage

I'd have to say it's a definite yes...churning again, now her boom is fully extended to port side

is the Atlantic Huron currently grounded here in Downtown Detroit? She sure was churning up the river and moving nowhere....I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to boatwatching

The winds have been very high today, and the Arthur M Anderson is currently just upriver, looking to be waiting them out.

photos attached.
