DEnny:

Based on the BoatNerd News Page and News Photo Gallery, only the tugs made it to the Soo. The barge Ironmaster is still stuck in the ice of the St Marys River.

The other Purvis barges are at the Soo, where they always are when not being used.

Where is the big tug Reliance?, with all that power under the hood! Why did they not use it to either break ice, or try pushing the barge?

Now that the Anglian Lady and barge Ironmaster arrived at the Soo along with the Wilfred M. Cohen, where and what happened to the barge PML9000 along with the PML2501? Are they both at the Soo probably the Steel Dock or someplace else? Anyone that has any information on this is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

My notes show they left the Soo on December 30th. So a 28 day round trip to Detroit and back. Granted they were stopped in Sarnia for several days, but I suspect that was due to ice conditions in the lower St. Clair River.

It's definitely not anything to do with the map. The Anglian Lady is still sitting in the same spot for a week now. I see the Cohen is back down with her again. The Victory is just above her with the Mac assisting.

She's been stuck in the St. Mary's River now since late last week. The Mackinaw has gone by her at least a half dozen times since then and either didn't offer assistance or none was requested? The Missouri and Wilfred Cohen did what they could, but it just wasn't enough to get things moving. I see the Mac is downbound yet again assisting the Victory so it'll be interesting to see if they stick around to help the Lady or take off once again for parts unknown?
