Another successful mission completed by the crew of CCGS Samuel Risley, aided by the USCG (I failed to note the name of the ship earlier in the day) as they finally freed tug Everlast and her barge Norman McLeod from the ice-clogged regions of the lower St. Clair River. As they passed, large flocks of ducks and gulls wheeled and skimmed above the open water, creating an atmosphere of celebration.
