Thank you. Bookworm. I suspect you'll be hearing more from me in retirement, since, yes, the time constraints in academia can be vexing (which may surprise some folks).

Congratulations on your being selected as the Marine Historical Society of Detroit’s 2016 Historian of the Year, and your recent retirement! I'm sure you'll quickly learn the difference between quitting a job and quitting living. With fewer time restraints, most retirees actually seem more active than when they were employed.
I wish you every success in wherever your life path takes you.
