Duluth Guest, Thank you for sharing the Blough in Conneaut. I have scanned all my apps with satellite imagery available, Google maps, Weather flow, realtor.com, Apple Maps, marine traffic, Storm radar, Garmin Nav and have yet to find an image with the Blough at the P&C dock. There have been different instances with footers or AAA's at the hopper in Conneaut, but the old coal slip is always empty. Thank you, happy holidays!

Public satellite imagery of the lakes varies widely in age. Some are over 5 years old. If you use Google Earth there is an option to view historical imagery which can in some cases give you newer images that are not on on the standard Google maps view. Also it has tools to measure distance so you can easily tell what ship is what by measuring the length.

Either way, there are plenty of pics of the Blough in Conneaut, she is tucked into the former coal slip.

I think that is the Dorothy Ann and Pathfinder. They normally run with face lines, although they are typically loose. Perhaps they are just loose lines to keep the tug from drifting back too far when they pull the pins to allow the barge to rise during unloading. This is the tug to be identified. Dorothy Ann has pins as do the Joyce L., Clyde and Dirk V. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If this is the vessel in Burns Harbor that you were wondering about, I believe it is Purvis Marine Line's barge PML Ironmaster with the tug Anglian Lady (or possibly the Avenger IV). Photo taken 7/17/2022 per Google Earth. What appears to be a self unloading boom is actually a large shore side crane reaching over the barge to unload steel coils.

I was looking at satellite imagery hoping to see the Roger Blough in Conneaut Ohio. No such luck. She is currently secured between the Stewart J Cort and Cason J. Calloway in Sturgeon Bay at Fincarri/Bay Ship. I thought the Calloway was in Escanaba, Blough in Conneaut, and Cort underway. Seems outdated to have those three still in SB. I went counter clockwise around Lake MI and found an unidentified Tug Barge self unloader in the West slip at Burns Harbor. Tug has facing wires to the barge which does not add up. Any help on that vessel would be great. Sykes was unloading in Indiana Harbor West.
