In today’s write up on the News Page for the Today In Great Lakes History for February 16, it mentions and talks about the devastating fire to the St. Clair while it was at their layup berth and Dock in Toledo. The News Page says “The St. Clair Fire occurred on Sunday, February 16, 2019 in the History write up.” That information however though is just slightly incorrect. It should read rather instead that the fire aboard the St. Clair started Saturday, February 16, 2019! I did my own history checking and indeed the day of the fire was on a Saturday not a Sunday that it got started. Also, since I am talking about the St. Clair fire here. On its history page in the Fleet Photo Galleries and write up on her, there are no photos currently posted of her after the fire and damage to her! I had thought then that once before there was a separate link and page that showed the photos of her following her fire and possibly even the tow to scrap at MRC in Port Colborne. So far I have not seen those photos any longer or any separate links or pages to that information. I’m sure one can find them somewhere but I’m just not sure where or how to?
