That course has been discontinued for at least 35+ years. The US Navy/ Annapolis dropped it right along the time they stopped using lamps around 76-78. Merchant Marines may have used it until the 2000s. Elite Offshore Academy will send people up to you but it's expensive at around $60k. I saw another offering at Fort Worth Texas. Have you contacted McKay Marine in Montreal? I believe that there was a compass discussion in this forum a few months ago.

Try mackay.com or Transport Canada. Give them a shout, they may be able to tell you something.

I would check with the inspections of the St. Lawrence Seaway. They require compass error tables and maybe know someone who has the expertise and more information.

Does anyone know of any courses in compass adjustment available anywhere? Preferably in Canada, but as far as I can tell none are offered since the deviascope exam was dropped by TC. So far the only ones I have found are one each in India, Latvia, and Australia.
