1 long, 2 short to ya, deckie! Gotta be careful out there and always keep your head in the game. My heart goes out to the boats that lost a crewmember this year, especially the M/V Stewart J. Cort. (Where I sailed last summer) Denton Haske was my bosun when I was aboard and taught me much of what I know. I left the ship about 3 weeks before he was killed.

It has been a great season on the lakes. Want to thank all the folks who came down at all places to look and great the ships passing by. Even though the ships whistle may not always blow or the deck crew may not always wave back because they are working-it is much appreciated! Should be going back out in a month or so and hope things go well for all the ships and crew on the lakes. Had heard of tragedy on a couple ships this lasr season and hope this one is better! Working on the lakes is no Deadliest Catch but there are a thousand ways to get hurt and only one way to be safe! Take care and hope to see you on the beach enjoying the ships!
